Shenzhen Yuanxiang Technology Co., Ltd., also known as Xingxiang Yuan, is a technology company established in 2021 that specializes in the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and 3D technologies. The company was founded by Yao Xing, a former Vice President at Tencent and the founder of Tencent AI Lab. The founding team largely consists of former Tencent employees.
Yao Xing's interest in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and virtual simulation, sparked during a visit with DeepMind founder Demis Hassabis, led to the creation of Xingxiang Yuan. The company aims to merge AI and 3D to construct an intelligent and realistic digital world. It focuses on two primary market opportunities: the 'information dimensional upgrade' starting with the 3D metaverse and the trend of 'intelligentization' through its combined AI+3D technology. This approach is intended to bridge the gap between virtual and real worlds by enhancing cognitive intelligence (AI) and perceptual intelligence (3D) to create AI agents.
In its first three years, Xingxiang Yuan has developed several key technologies, including the Yuanxiang large model, which was among the first in Guangdong to be nationally filed, and the largest parameter Mixture of Experts (MoE) open-source model in China. The company has also been recognized on the Hurun Global Unicorn List for three consecutive years. In 2024, the company entered the VR market, launching five VR content pieces that were implemented in 33 cities across China.
