Qichedashi (汽车大师) is a Chinese online platform that connects car owners with professional vehicle technicians through a paid question-and-answer service. The company, officially under Beijing Baichebao Technology Co., Ltd., was established in 2013. The platform operates primarily through its mobile app and integrations with other social and content platforms, including WeChat.
The founder and CEO, Fu Hang, has an extensive background in the automotive sector, with previous roles at major industry players like Yiche (Bitauto) and Foton Motor. This experience informed his approach to tackling inefficiencies in the auto repair market. Fu Hang, along with co-founders specializing in artificial intelligence, Zhu Xifeng and Li Leitao, developed the platform to directly connect car owners with technicians, bypassing intermediate steps and providing more direct and cost-effective solutions for vehicle diagnostics and advice.
The core business model revolves around knowledge sharing and crowdsourcing expertise. Car owners can post questions about vehicle faults, maintenance, or modifications and receive a response from a verified technician, often within 10 minutes. To incentivize quick and quality responses, users can attach a small fee to their questions. The company generates revenue through these paid questions, as well as through content e-commerce and data and traffic partnerships. With a network of over 250,000 registered technicians, Qichedashi has facilitated hundreds of millions of interactions, establishing itself as a major player in China's automotive after-sales service market. The company secured a significant Series A funding round of 42 million RMB from Yiche and Gobi Partners in 2017.
