Prakshep Private Limited was an agricultural data science company founded in 2016 in Bengaluru, India, by Sameer Kumar, Avijeet Singh, and Prithviraj Sen Sharma. The company specialized in providing farm management solutions by leveraging technologies such as satellite imagery, drones, AI, and deep learning. Its core offerings included a cloud-based virtual eye system and enterprise AI solutions to analyze images for information about crop fields, monitor crop health, and detect plant diseases and stress, providing data for decision-making.

The firm's mission was to automate less productive tasks in agriculture through services like geofencing, farm surveillance, and forecasting. It utilized a combination of satellites, drones, and vehicle sensors to develop neural networks for data inference. This approach aimed to enhance traceability, transparency, and quality assurance in the commodity commerce chain. For clients such as agribusinesses, financial services, and government entities, Prakshep's platform could connect farms with farmers, customize advisories, and offer a simple know-your-customer (KYC) process without the need for extensive on-ground mapping. In December 2017, Prakshep raised $507K in a seed funding round led by Kstart, with participation from three angel investors. On June 2, 2022, Prakshep was acquired by Arya.ag, a grain commerce platform, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition was intended to bolster Arya.ag's capabilities in farm digitization, crop monitoring, and quality assessment by integrating Prakshep's AI and machine learning expertise. Following the acquisition, Prakshep's technology and extensive farm database were set to be integrated into Arya.ag's public agri blockchain ledger.
