Nervogrid

Nervogrid Oy, founded in 2007, was a Helsinki-based firm that specialized in the cloud computing sector. The company developed a robust Cloud Brokerage Enablement platform, which was delivered as a "Cloud Control Panel as a Service". This core technology was designed to empower vendors, resellers, and other service providers to operate as cloud brokers. It enabled the automated management and efficient processing of private, public, and hybrid cloud transactions.

The platform provided a comprehensive toolset for its clients, allowing them to autonomously offer a range of IT services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). Users could manage the entire sales lifecycle through the control panel, from creating service offers with a simple drag-and-drop interface to the rapid deployment of cloud services, performance reporting, and billing. This created a crucial bridge between cloud service vendors and the reseller channel. By 2013, the company served 300 service providers across more than 30 countries and generated approximately €3 million in revenue.

In a significant milestone, Nervogrid was acquired by the Swiss-based ALSO Holding AG in March 2014. The acquisition was a strategic move for ALSO to strengthen its expertise and service offerings in the rapidly growing cloud market. Following the acquisition, Nervogrid was integrated into the ALSO Group and renamed ALSO Cloud Oy to continue its operations as a subsidiary.
