Established in 2019, Gokin Solar is a Zhuhai-based new energy company specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of high-efficiency, large-size photovoltaic silicon wafers. The company was founded through a collaboration between Zhuhai Huafa Group and IDG Capital. Since its inception, Gokin Solar has secured significant capital, raising a total of $616 million over two funding rounds, with its Series B in August 2022 raising $365 million. Key investors include prominent names like Walden International, Goldstone Investment, and IDG Capital. The company's chairman is Xu Zhiqun.

Gokin Solar operates a vertically integrated business model, encompassing the entire photovoltaic value chain from monocrystalline silicon rods and wafers to cells, modules, and project development. The firm's core products are its large-size monocrystalline silicon wafers (including 182mm and 210mm) and high-efficiency solar modules. A key offering is the N-type large-size silicon wafer, which features low power consumption and high output, with a thickness that can be reduced to 110um. Gokin Solar also produces a range of solar panels, including TOPCon and HJT Bifacial modules with power outputs ranging from 420W to 735Wp. The company holds multiple core technology patents and utilizes smart manufacturing platforms. A notable achievement is receiving the world's first TÜV Rheinland certification for shade tolerance on its BC modules, ensuring maximum output even under complex shadow conditions.
