The story of Frasers Property begins not with property, but with a market and retail chain. In 1963, the company was incorporated as Cold Storage Limited. Its first foray into property development was The Centrepoint, a shopping centre on Singapore's iconic Orchard Road, which was completed in 1983. A pivotal moment came in 1990 when it became a member of the Fraser and Neave group, setting the stage for its future. The next chapter saw significant expansion. In 2002, the property arm was privatized and delisted from the Singapore Exchange (SGX), only to be rebranded as Frasers Centrepoint Limited (FCL) in 2006. This era also marked the creation of its first Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), the Frasers Centrepoint Trust. A major turning point occurred in 2013 when Thai billionaire Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi's TCC Group acquired FCL's parent company. This led to FCL’s relisting on the SGX in 2014 after a nearly 12-year absence. Under new ownership, the company accelerated its global growth. It acquired the Australian property group Australand for $2.6 billion in 2014, which was later rebranded to Frasers Property Australia. To unify its growing international presence, the entire group officially rebranded from Frasers Centrepoint Limited to Frasers Property Limited in February 2018. Today, with Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi as CEO, Frasers Property is a multinational real estate group with a diverse portfolio spanning residential, retail, commercial, and industrial properties across the globe.
