Beijing Shenyan Technology, or DeepLang AI, is a technology firm developing an industrial-grade, intelligent text information processing engine based on large-scale pre-trained models. The company was founded in March 2022 by Tsinghua University alumni Fanchao Qi and Xiaoxiang Li and incubated at the Tsinghua University Natural Language Processing Laboratory (THUNLP) and the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence (BAAI). Fanchao Qi, who serves as CEO, holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Tsinghua University.

DeepLang AI develops solutions that leverage AI and natural language processing for AI-generated content (AIGC), text generation, information extraction, and semantic retrieval to improve productivity for information-intensive organizations. The company offers both business-facing software and consumer-oriented services. Its product suite includes "WantWords," a reverse dictionary that finds words based on descriptive user input, and "WantQuotes," which retrieves sentences from descriptions. For enterprise clients, DeepLang provides software solutions for searching, drafting, and categorizing documents.

The company's business model is based on selling its software solutions. Since its inception, DeepLang AI has secured contracts with government departments and industry-leading enterprises. Its consumer products have attracted millions of users. The startup has received venture capital funding from investors including Tencent, HongShan Seedfund (formerly Sequoia China), and MiraclePlus. As of April 2023, its valuation was reported to be approximately $100 million.
