Click Travel is a UK-based travel management company that developed a proprietary online platform to reduce the complexity and cost of business travel. Founded in 1999 by brothers James and Simon McLean, the Birmingham-based company grew to handle over £300 million in business travel for more than 2,000 clients. Its clients included major brands like Five Guys, Red Bull, and TalkTalk, as well as public sector and charity organizations.
The company's core offering is its award-winning, all-in-one booking platform, which aggregates content from global distribution systems (GDS), direct connections, and leisure travel sites to provide a comprehensive inventory of flights, hotels, and ground transport. The platform is designed for high online adoption and provides features for travel policy compliance, spend control, and detailed reporting. In 2016, it launched travel.cloud, a self-service version of its platform.
In July 2021, Click Travel was acquired by the global travel management platform TravelPerk for approximately £80 million in a cash and loan deal. The acquisition was TravelPerk's largest to date and was part of a broader consolidation trend in the corporate travel sector. Following the acquisition, Click Travel's team of 150 employees joined TravelPerk, and the company now operates as "Click Travel, Powered by TravelPerk," combining its UK market expertise with TravelPerk's global reach.
