Zhijing Technology
Perovskite quantum dot materials for advanced displays.
Zhijing Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. is a high-tech new materials company that originated from the Beijing Institute of Technology in July 2016. The company focuses on developing and promoting LED nanomaterials and their derivative products for lighting and display applications. The founding team and core technical staff are from the Beijing Institute of Technology's Beijing Key Laboratory of Nanophotonic and Ultrafine Optoelectronic Systems, which was one of the first labs internationally to report on perovskite quantum dot display applications.
The company's core offering is its proprietary in-situ preparation technology for perovskite quantum dots, which provides a disruptive material and process for integrated quantum dot applications. This technology allows for the production of cadmium-free perovskite quantum dot materials and films. Its main products include perovskite quantum dot optical films, quantum dot color conversion components, and photovoltaic enhancement products. These materials are used to enhance LCD backlights, increasing the display color gamut to over 110% NTSC. Compared to traditional quantum dot films, Zhijing's process boasts a material utilization rate close to 100%, simplifying production and reducing costs.
Zhijing Technology serves the global display industry, providing samples to major display manufacturers for product testing. In 2018, the company and its partners launched the world's first 55-inch TV prototype equipped with a perovskite quantum dot optical film, which was showcased at CES and SID. By 2021, the company had begun small-batch shipments and was supplying to clients like創維 (Skyworth),惠科 (HKC), and長虹 (Changhong), while also undergoing evaluations with major clients such as BOE. The business model involves the development, mass production, and sale of these advanced optical films and related components to display panel manufacturers. The company has received multiple rounds of funding from investors including 武岳峰 (Wuyuefeng Capital), 中关村发展集团 (Zhongguancun Development Group), and 英诺资本 (Inno Angel Fund) to support mass production and research into next-generation technologies like quantum dot photoresists and AR micro-displays.
