Yota Arena, established in 2017, is a significant esports complex located in Moscow, Russia, and is recognized as one of the largest in Europe. The venue was developed with the stated goal of shifting public perception towards esports and providing a dedicated, high-quality space for the gaming community.
Spanning over 5,000 square meters, the facility is designed as a comprehensive entertainment destination for gaming enthusiasts. It features a main event stage with a spectator capacity of approximately 1,000 and a large 100-square-meter LED screen for broadcasting tournaments. A key component is the 'Cyber Loft,' a LAN-center equipped with 90 high-performance gaming stations. The complex also includes private gaming rooms with consoles, a restaurant and bar, a karaoke room, and the Fragstore, a retail outlet for esports merchandise and gaming hardware.
The business model centers on being a multi-purpose venue. Revenue is generated from hosting esports tournaments, such as the 'Fifa - RFU Interactive Football Championship 2019' and student league finals, as well as from the daily operations of its gaming areas, food and beverage sales, and merchandise retail. Yota Arena also incorporates advanced entertainment technology, including a virtual reality zone developed in partnership with Singularity Lab, featuring multiplayer VR games and a VR bar where patrons can order drinks while playing.
The arena is part of the ESForce holding company and was created in collaboration with several partners, including VRPlanet for visuals and IISC for equipment. The interior design is a notable feature, with themed elements from popular games and culture, such as Vault doors from the Fallout series, aiming to create an immersive atmosphere for visitors.
