YLP (Your Logis Partner) is a logistics technology company specializing in the middle-mile freight transportation market. Founded in February 2016 by CEO Im Jae-hyung, the company developed an online platform that connects enterprises (shippers) with freight drivers (carriers). The platform utilizes AI and big data to offer services like real-time optimal freight rate calculations, shipment quoting and booking, vehicle dispatch, and settlement services, integrating the entire freight process into a single solution.
The company targets the B2B logistics sector, focusing on the "middle-mile" – the transport of goods from production facilities to distribution centers or between business locations. YLP experienced rapid growth, with its revenue increasing from 400 million KRW in 2016 to 27.7 billion KRW in 2020. This growth attracted significant venture capital, securing 16 billion KRW in Series A and B funding from investors including LX Investment, Mirae Asset Venture Investment, and SV Investment.
In May 2021, T-Map Mobility, a subsidiary of SK Telecom, acquired 100% of YLP's shares for an estimated 70-80 billion KRW to expand its B2B capabilities and penetrate the digital freight brokerage market. Following the acquisition, YLP's solution was rebranded and launched as "TMAP Cargo" in late 2022. The service leverages YLP's accumulated 1.1 million transport data points combined with T-Map's platform expertise to achieve a high dispatch success rate and provide efficient, data-driven logistics solutions.
