XSwap is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that enables the swapping and bridging of crypto assets across multiple blockchain networks. The platform is distinguished as one of the first to be built upon Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), which provides a secure and unified interface for transferring messages and value across chains. The protocol was co-founded by 'Arthur' and was launched in May 2024, having raised $2.7 million from investors including MH Ventures, P2 Ventures, and Cogitent Ventures. XSwap has joined Chainlink's BUILD program to accelerate its growth and adoption. This partnership provides XSwap with enhanced access to Chainlink's services, including its oracle networks and technical support, in exchange for making a portion of its native token supply available to Chainlink service providers.
XSwap's business model is centered on transaction fees applied to each swap performed on the platform. These fees cover operational costs and fund further research and development. The company also generates revenue through partnerships by integrating its technology into other platforms, which expands its user base and transaction volume. The platform supports numerous blockchains, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Avalanche. Its native governance token is XSWAP, which is used for staking and community governance. In a significant collaboration, XSwap, alongside Chainlink, Mastercard, Swapper Finance, ZeroHash, and Shift4, has enabled a service that allows Mastercard's over 3 billion cardholders to purchase cryptocurrencies directly on-chain.
