WooBloo is a consumer electronics company that initially operated as an online virtual assistant platform for booking local services. Founded in 2017 by Sirisha Gondi and Devarakonda Rahul in Hyderabad, India, the company later pivoted to hardware. In 2021, the company, led by the sibling team Sirisha and Lakshman Gondi, launched its first product, the WooBloo SMASH, through an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign.
The WooBloo SMASH is a portable, all-in-one entertainment device that combines a smart projector, a Bluetooth speaker, and a built-in Alexa voice assistant. The device is designed for portability, featuring a rechargeable battery that offers up to three hours of video playback and 30 hours of music streaming. It features a 1080p HD projector with 300 ANSI lumens of brightness that can create a display up to 120 inches. The SMASH runs on a custom Android OS, providing access to over 30 pre-loaded streaming applications like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+. It also supports screen mirroring via AirPlay and Chromecast.
As a smart speaker, it includes a 360-degree sound system, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and far-field voice recognition for Alexa commands. The device features a 4-inch LED control screen, an auto-focus function, an HDMI port, and a USB port for versatile connectivity options. The product was developed in Raleigh, NC, and debuted at CES 2021 with a retail price of $699.
