Wind Products, formerly known as AeroCity, developed clean energy technology for urban environments. Based in New York, the company was a tenant in the New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy (NYC ACRE), a cleantech incubator. The company's primary product was the ButterflyWind Turbine, a turbine designed specifically for use in residential, commercial, and industrial properties within cities. In addition to its hardware, Wind Products developed Wind Analytics, a software tool providing highly specific analysis of wind conditions.
The company was set to install the first building-mounted wind turbine in New York City using its technology around 2010. On September 9, 2013, Wind Products was acquired by United Wind in a merger of equals.
