Whydah, founded in 2021 by Tri Pham, is a Vietnam-based blockchain game hub and development services provider located in Ho Chi Minh City. The company was established to support game developers in transitioning from traditional models to blockchain-based applications, with a vision for an open metaverse. Tri Pham, also a co-founder of the blockchain infrastructure KardiaChain, provides strategic direction for the company.

In December 2021, Whydah secured $25 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was backed by a consortium of prominent investors, including HashKey, KardiaChain, Morningstar Ventures, Eternity Capital, FormlessCapital, Bitscale, Youbi, Axia 8 Ventures, Polkastarter, Good Guild Game, and Mask Network. This funding is aimed at accelerating the development of the blockchain industry in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The company's business model combines venture capital with token sales through its 'Iron Sail' initiative, which provides a hybrid fundraising model for institutional investors.

Whydah's core service involves providing a platform and consulting for game studios to integrate blockchain technology. A significant milestone was the official cooperation with seven of Vietnam's largest game studios: Topebox, Wolffun Game, IMBA Game, Hiker Games, Divmob, 1B Game Studio, and KEIG Studio. This partnership is focused on the 'Iron Sail' project, which aims to create an interconnected and decentralized metaverse. Whydah plans to open a game application center to further empower Vietnamese game developers to bring their ideas to blockchain platforms. The company is also expanding its focus to other sectors like fashion, sports, and entertainment.
