Wepositive.energy is a cleantech startup based in Alkmaar, Netherlands, that develops distributed energy management software to enhance grid stability. Founded in 2024, the company's AI-powered platform provides real-time monitoring and automated control of residential energy assets like electric vehicles, heat pumps, and home batteries. This technology allows energy companies and grid operators to balance energy supply and demand, reduce grid congestion, and maximize the use of clean power.

The company's core solution, the WE+ Hub, connects smart devices within a local network to create shared energy ecosystems, enabling peer-to-peer energy exchange among households. This helps form energy communities, particularly for Home Owners Associations, allowing them to collectively invest in and share solar energy. The founding team includes Floris-Jan Willems, who has a background in computer science and has conducted research on GPU computing and optimization.
