Warmwind is an AI operating system developed by the Jena-based German startup, eva AG. Co-founded by Richard Wieduwilt and Maximilian Schilling, the company emerged from a two-year stealth development period in July 2025. In early 2025, the firm secured €1.5 million in a seed funding round with participation from bm-t Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen, BRT Ventures, and a private investor.

The core product, Warmwind OS, is designed to function as an "autonomous cloud employee" for small and medium-sized enterprises. It automates repetitive office tasks through a visual interface, eliminating the need for API integrations or specialized IT knowledge. Users can teach the AI by performing a task once; the system then observes the clicks, cursor movements, and context to replicate the workflow independently. This allows it to handle functions like customer support, invoice management, social media posting, recruiting, and competitor monitoring. The platform can interact with a wide range of existing software, from standard office applications to legacy enterprise systems, by visually reading the screen and controlling the mouse and keyboard, just as a human would.

Warmwind emphasizes data security and user control, operating on German cloud infrastructure to ensure GDPR compliance. The company developed its entire technology stack in-house, including a proprietary AI model, to maintain independence from third-party APIs. This modular architecture also permits on-premise deployments for clients with specific security needs. The company launched a closed beta in July 2025, having already gathered a waitlist of over 12,000 interested users and started validation with pilot partners.
