W Motors is an Emirati hypercar manufacturer that has expanded into a fully integrated mobility solutions provider. Founded in Lebanon in July 2012 by Ralph R. Debbas, the company established its headquarters in Dubai in 2013, becoming the first manufacturer of high-performance luxury sports cars in the Middle East. Debbas, who serves as Chairman and CEO, is a Coventry University automotive design graduate with prior experience at Land Rover and Aston Martin. His journey was driven by a passion for cars and an ambition to establish a homegrown automotive industry in the region.
The company's business model focuses on producing exclusive, high-performance vehicles and has expanded to include an automotive consultancy division, which accounts for a significant portion of its business. This division offers turnkey mobility solutions, from design to manufacturing, for private clients, governments, and other automotive companies. A notable project is the development of the Ghiath smart patrol vehicles for the Dubai Police. In May 2025, W Motors launched a contract manufacturing division to support global OEMs in establishing a presence in the Middle East. Revenue is generated through the sale of its limited-edition hypercars, special projects, and consultancy services.
W Motors gained international acclaim with its first model, the Lykan HyperSport, which debuted at the Qatar Motor Show in 2013. Priced at $3.4 million, production was limited to just seven units. The Lykan is powered by a 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine from RUF Automobile, producing 780 horsepower, and boasts features like diamond-encrusted LED headlights and a holographic interior display. Its fame was amplified by a prominent appearance in the film *Furious 7*. The company's second model is the Fenyr SuperSport, unveiled in 2015. Production is limited to 100 units, plus 10 launch editions. The Fenyr features a handcrafted carbon fiber and graphene composite body and a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine, also from RUF, delivering 800 horsepower. This allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 400 km/h. The company has also expanded its portfolio to include autonomous and electric vehicles, such as the MUSE L5 autonomous vehicle and special security vehicles.
