In the world of tech, paths to the public market can be unconventional. Take Viewbix, a video analytics and engagement platform co-founded by Jonathan Stefansky and Hillel Scheinfeld. Their goal was to help brands understand video performance and make their content interactive. Instead of a traditional IPO, Viewbix took a different route. In August 2019, the company was acquired by a publicly traded entity called Virtual Crypto Technologies Inc. Upon closing the deal, Virtual Crypto immediately changed its name to Viewbix Inc., effectively making the video platform a public company through a reverse takeover. The company’s business is now centered around digital advertising, with two main segments. The first develops software to automate and optimize online ad campaigns. The second focuses on creating and distributing digital content to generate revenue from major advertising platforms. More recently, in July 2025, the now Nasdaq-listed Viewbix announced a significant event: a private placement of approximately $4.5 million to fund working capital and explore new business opportunities. This move followed a strategic acquisition in March 2025 of Metagramm Software, a company specializing in AI and natural language processing.
