The company secured multiple rounds of funding from investors including the MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund, GrowthWorks, and the Ontario Capital Growth Corp. In April 2015, Verold was acquired by Box (NYSE:BOX) with the plan to integrate its 3D viewing and editing technology into Box's enterprise content collaboration platform, aiming to enhance how industries like engineering and retail engage with 3D content. The Verold team joined Box as part of the acquisition.
