Vellox Group represents a strategic consolidation in the aviation software market, backed by the permanent capital investor Arcadea Group. The company was formed through the integration of four historically independent businesses: Spidertracks, Air Maestro, Flight Vector, and Complete Flight, and later expanded by acquiring ADSoftware. This series of mergers and acquisitions, backed by a significant $20 million investment from Arcadea, has positioned Vellox Group as a comprehensive solutions provider for air and ground operators.

Spidertracks was founded in New Zealand by James McCarthy in 2007, prompted by a high-profile helicopter crash that highlighted the need for reliable, real-time tracking. Flight Vector was established in 2004 by Scot Cromer to provide customizable dispatch and operational software. Complete Flight was founded by Bernie Berg in 2012, focusing on operational solutions for the aeromedical sector. Air Maestro was founded in Australia in 2005 to offer cloud-based safety and operational management software.

Vellox Group provides a unified software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that integrates the core functionalities of its acquired companies. This platform serves a diverse client base across medical, public safety, industrial, energy, tourism, defense, and government sectors. The business model centers on providing a single, subscription-based solution that covers the entire operational lifecycle, from flight planning to maintenance. The platform’s key components include AI-powered fleet management for asset tracking and optimization; a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) for risk and compliance; dispatch and planning tools for scheduling and resource allocation; and operational management for post-flight activities. The recent acquisition of ADSoftware and its AIRPACK ERP further extends Vellox's capabilities into maintenance and airworthiness management, aiming to eliminate data silos between flight operations and the hangar.
