Universal Health Token (UHT) operates a Proof-of-Health protocol that utilizes AI, blockchain, and gamification to promote and reward preventive healthcare. The project was founded by Agastya Samat, who also serves as CEO and Director of the associated Force of Good Foundation. Samat's background in fintech, digital healthcare, and mobile gaming informed the creation of a platform to incentivize wellness through blockchain technology.

The core of the business is to shift the focus from 'sick care' to long-term wellness by rewarding users with the UHT token for healthy behaviors. This model is described as "Live (Healthy) to Earn". The Force of Good Foundation, a community-backed entity, developed the token and its ecosystem. The company has received strategic investments from firms including Aptos Foundation, Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, and Tezos Foundation, raising $1.2 million in a pre-seed round.

The protocol is integrated into its anchor partner, GOQii, a preventative healthcare app with over five million downloads. Users connect health-tracking wearables or apps to log activities on-chain and earn rewards. UHT's AI analyzes user data to provide personalized health insights and dynamically adjust rewards for activities like workouts and nutrition goals. The earned tokens can be redeemed within a marketplace of over 300 wellness brands for health products and services. Additionally, the protocol allows users to share anonymized data with decentralized science (DeSci) projects to support biomedical research, for which they are also rewarded.
