TwoChop
Our vision is to gamify the internet.
TwoChop was a New York City-based entity founded in 2009 by Mo Lam. The company operated as an online gamification platform, providing tools for users to transform various forms of content—such as text, images, music, videos, and data—into interactive games. This model aimed to serve content creators and publishers looking to increase user engagement through game mechanics.
The platform's business proposition centered on leveraging the growing trend of gamification to make static content more dynamic and appealing. In 2011, TwoChop secured $450,000 in a seed funding round with participation from institutional investor StubHub. This investment was a key milestone, enabling the company to further develop its platform and expand its operations. The company also gained recognition by winning the "Harvard Business School New Venture Award".
Despite its early promise and funding, TwoChop eventually ceased operations and is now considered a deadpooled company. During its active years, it operated in a competitive landscape that included major game development platforms like Unity and Unreal Engine.
