TVC (UAB Televizijos ir ryšio sistemos) is a Lithuanian systems integrator specializing in broadcast solutions for public and private sector clients. The company was established in February 1996 by Edmundas Stumbrys, Stanislovas Cipkus, Albertas Tamosiunas, and Arunas Uksas. Its heritage, however, dates back to the late 1960s, drawing from the expertise of a former Television Institute in Siauliai that produced broadcast equipment for the entire Soviet Union. This historical foundation in engineering provided TVC with a distinct capability in in-house coachbuilding from its inception.
Operating on a project-based business model, TVC provides comprehensive turnkey services that begin with an in-depth assessment of a client's requirements. Its revenue is generated by designing, supplying, and integrating complex broadcast systems. These projects range from television and radio studios, master control rooms (MCRs), and playout systems to newsrooms and digital archives. A significant portion of the company's business, approximately 40%, is dedicated to the custom design and construction of Outside Broadcast (OB) vans. With a portfolio of over 150 completed vehicles, TVC builds a variety of mobile units, from small 4-camera vans to large, 30-camera trailers with multiple expandable sides, serving clients across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
The company's services encompass the full project lifecycle, including consultancy, system design, coachbuilding, equipment installation, project management, and post-sales support and training. TVC manages its own manufacturing, engineering, and project resources in-house, which allows for considerable flexibility in tailoring solutions to specific client needs. In October 2020, TVC was acquired by the Broadcast Solutions Group, becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary. Despite the acquisition, TVC continues to operate as an independent brand, complementing the parent company's activities and strengthening its presence in the Baltic and CIS regions.
