TuringBitChain (TBC) is a public blockchain project founded in 2021 by Edison and Alex. Headquartered in Singapore, the company is developing a decentralized platform to enhance the Bitcoin network's capabilities. The core of the project is the implementation of the Bitcoin Virtual Machine (BVM), a scalable smart contract solution designed to address network congestion and high transaction fees. By creating a smart contract layer similar to Ethereum's, TBC aims to transform Bitcoin from just a store of value into a platform suitable for everyday transactions and decentralized applications (dApps).
The platform is built on a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism and uses a UTXO transaction model, similar to Bitcoin, to maintain security and decentralization. It has introduced proprietary technologies like TuringTXID, a transaction identification system, and TuringContract to enable practical, Turing-complete smart contracts on the UTXO model. These technologies are designed to improve data efficiency, reduce costs, and support complex applications like DeFi, NFTs, and data storage. The company's goal is to achieve high transaction throughput, starting with an initial 13,000 TPS and aiming for 100,000 TPS.
The native token of the blockchain is $TBC, which has a maximum supply of 2.1 billion. The token allocation includes 50% for ecological development, 30% for investors, 10% for the TBC Foundation, and a portion for the development team. TBC has received venture capital funding from investors including HK HuaEr Group, Stratified Capital, TradingEQ, and ZC Capital. The company has also formed strategic partnerships, such as with DAOStarter, a crypto incubator, to support Web3 projects.
