TuksNovation is the University of Pretoria’s high-tech business incubator that provides specialised product and business development support to startups. TuksNovation is a non-profit company (NPC) that supports high-tech start-ups from proof of concept to commercialisation and growth. The incubator and accelerator were established to translate UP’s rich landscape of technology innovation and intellectual property into sustainable enterprises. There are significant risks involved in developing and commercialising early-stage technology, but also significant revenue potential when these technologies enter the market. In order to achieve this TuksNovation, minimises the risks and absorbs some of the costs associated with technology commercialisation for both innovators and investors and provide high-quality business support to start-ups.
