Tribotek, Inc., founded in 2001 and headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, specialized in the design, development, and manufacture of high-current power connectors and power distribution systems. The company's products were utilized in various applications, including power supplies, servers, rectifiers, inverters, robotics, and automated test equipment, as well as in military and telecommunications sectors.

The company's patented technology was noted for yielding lower insertion force and lower voltage drop at the connection point, while also being capable of handling a greater number of plug and unplug cycles. Before its acquisition, Tribotek was a venture-backed private company, having received funding from investors such as J. & W. In March 2008, the business assets of Tribotek were acquired by Methode Electronics, Inc., a global manufacturer of electronic components and subsystem devices. Following the acquisition, Tribotek was integrated into Methode's Cableco Technologies business. This strategic move allowed Methode Electronics to expand its power connection systems and provide a broader range of power distribution products and more technically advanced, customized busbar solutions to its clients across various industries.
