Tow4Tech is a technology firm providing a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform to modernize the dispatch process for the commercial trucking industry. The company was founded in 2024 by CEO Craig Schneider and CTO Ziv Gillat and is headquartered in Coral Springs, Florida. Schneider, with over 30 years of experience in the financial sector at firms like Raymond James and Cantor Fitzgerald, provides the business acumen for the company's strategy. The idea reportedly came to him after witnessing a truck wait over two hours for a tow. Gillat brings over two decades of technology and product strategy experience from his time at Apple and as a co-founder of the photo-sharing startup EyeFi.
The company targets the $12 billion commercial-fleet towing market, aiming to replace what it views as inefficient, manual-heavy processes. Its clients are commercial trucking companies and fleet managers who face significant costs from vehicle downtime. The business model is primarily subscription-based for fleets, with options starting from $6 per truck per month, as well as a pay-per-use option at $99 per incident. For towing and roadside assistance providers, the platform is free to join, and they keep 100% of their rates, creating a dual-sided marketplace.
The core of Tow4Tech's offering is a dispatch platform that uses real-time geolocation to connect fleet managers with the nearest available towing and roadside service operators. When a truck breaks down, a fleet manager can use the web or mobile app to request assistance. The software identifies and alerts nearby providers, allowing the manager to dispatch the preferred option based on ETA and other details. The platform manages the entire job from dispatch to completion, including real-time tracking of the service vehicle, communication between parties, and automated invoicing and payment processing through Stripe. This digital process is designed to reduce the time spent on phone calls, minimize downtime, and provide data analytics to help fleets optimize their operations. In April 2025, the company announced it had raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by BrightCap Ventures to expand its network and enhance the platform. Tow4Tech has also established a subsidiary in Romania to serve as a development center and a base for future European expansion.
