Topicmarks, Inc. operated as a natural language processing and machine learning company based in San Francisco. In a strategic move to enhance its capabilities, the social discovery network Tagged acquired Topicmarks in December 2011 for an undisclosed amount in cash and stock. The acquisition aimed to leverage Topicmarks' technology to analyze user profiles, messages, and interests on the Tagged platform, thereby improving friend recommendations and user matching.
