Toodaloo, operating under the legal name Toodaloo, was an Austin, Texas-based food products company founded in 2020 by Cattie Khoury. The firm's establishment stemmed from Khoury's personal health journey and her desire to address what she saw as a broken food system. Leveraging a degree in Environmental Sustainability and a certification in Plant-Based nutrition, Khoury launched the company during the 2020 quarantine.
The company focused on producing healthy, adaptogenic snacks. Its product line consisted of trail mixes featuring sprouted nuts, organic superfruits, and adaptogenic herbs like reishi, ashwagandha, and lion's mane. These snacks were marketed as plant-based, vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, and dairy-free, with no processed sugars, appealing to health-conscious consumers in the LOHAS & Wellness market. The business operated primarily through an e-commerce model, selling directly to consumers.
A core component of Toodaloo's business strategy was its commitment to environmental sustainability. In a partnership with the Rodale Institute, the company pledged to help regenerate polluted farmland back into fertile soil for every purchase made, aiming to create a positive ripple effect on the planet. Despite raising $250K in an early-stage VC funding round in May 2023, the company ceased operations as of September 2024.
