Today Delivery

Today Delivery was a Moscow-based startup founded in 2015 by Sergey Prokhorov, which aimed to provide same-day parcel delivery services. The company has since ceased operations.

The business operated as an online platform that utilized a crowdsourced fleet of couriers for deliveries, serving individuals, restaurants, online retailers, and corporate offices. Users could request a delivery via foot or vehicle through the platform. By November 2015, the company claimed to have over 3,000 delivery professionals registered on its platform.

In November 2015, Today Delivery secured $500,000 in a seed funding round with participation from investors QIWI and Citymobile. A partnership with logistics company A1.express, which also acquired a stake, was established to handle the first-mile logistics, where A1.express would transport goods from e-commerce stores to their fulfillment centers, after which Today Delivery's couriers would complete the final delivery. This collaboration reportedly led to a 25-30% monthly growth for the startup. At its peak, the business was handling over 1,000 deliveries a day in Moscow, with large e-commerce clients like Lamoda accounting for 90% of its business.
