Telekenex was a business-grade IP service provider founded in 1994 by Brandon Chaney and Anthony Zabit. Headquartered in Seattle and San Francisco, the company offered a suite of cloud-based solutions, including hosted VoIP, call center services, MPLS, managed ethernet, and security. It operated a private international network aimed at business customers.

In May 2011, TelePacific Communications announced a definitive agreement to acquire Telekenex, gaining approximately 1,000 business customers and 122 employees. This acquisition was a strategic move for TelePacific to enhance its IP portfolio with services like a hosted PBX platform, a nationwide PCI-compliant MPLS backbone, managed network services, and cloud-based security. Following the acquisition, Telekenex's business assets and service offerings were planned to operate as a separate channel led by its co-founder, Brandon Chaney.

Around 2014, Telekenex was renamed NetFortris. This entity continued to evolve, later acquiring UCaaS provider Fonality in 2017. The journey concluded in March 2022, when Sangoma Technologies acquired NetFortris for approximately $68 million, integrating its UCaaS, SD-WAN, and managed services into Sangoma's portfolio.
