T-Bô is a Swiss men's bodywear brand co-founded in Zurich in 2017 by Allan Perrottet and Roy Bernheim. The founders started the company after recognizing the difficulty in finding men's underwear that was comfortable and functional for an active lifestyle. Perrottet's background includes experience in a custom-made suiting business and quality assurance, alongside his Economics studies, which informed the brand's direction.
The company operates on a unique "Direct By Consumer" (DBC) or co-creation business model, which sets it apart from traditional direct-to-consumer brands. This model involves a community of over 400,000 members, known as the "Tribe," who actively participate in the product development process. The Tribe provides feedback and ideas on everything from new product designs and materials to pricing and packaging through surveys, online groups, and webinars. This collaborative approach ensures that production is aligned with real-time demand, which significantly reduces overstock and waste. Before a new limited-edition product is manufactured, it is offered as a pre-sale to the community; the item only goes into production if a minimum demand threshold is met.
T-Bô's product line includes a variety of men's underwear such as boxer briefs, trunks, and briefs, as well as undershirts, all designed for different needs like everyday wear or active use. The core material used is bamboo viscose, often blended with birch tree micromodal fibers. This fabric choice is central to the brand's value proposition, offering softness, breathability, moisture-wicking properties, and odor control. Sustainability is a key pillar of the business, from the use of fast-growing bamboo that requires less water than cotton, to eco-friendly, minimal packaging. The brand has sold its products to customers in over 120 countries.
