In March 1981, with 5.5 million yen in capital and just eight employees, System Research was established in Nagoya, Japan. The company was founded by Toshiyuki Yamada and Norihisa Ito. They started as a classic system integrator, developing software and providing IT services to other businesses. The company steadily grew, opening branches in Osaka and Tokyo in the late 1980s. Their core business involved creating custom software solutions and providing comprehensive IT support, from system design to maintenance. This foundational work built deep trust with their clients, leading to a high repeat business rate. A major turning point for the company came on June 13, 2005, when System Research launched its Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the JASDAQ stock exchange. This event provided the capital and public profile for the next stage of its growth. The company continued to expand through acquisitions and strategic initiatives, moving to the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2016. Today, System Research is a prime-listed company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. They've evolved from a simple software developer into a comprehensive solutions provider, offering services in AI, cloud computing, and DX (Digital Transformation) to meet modern business needs. Having celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2021, the company continues its journey from a small Nagoya startup to a significant player in Japan's IT industry.
