Startouts Inc. was a Japanese startup that operated the cooking video service "Mogoo". The company was founded in March 2013 by Takuya Itamoto. Itamoto established the company at the age of 21 while on a leave of absence from Osaka University.
The company's primary service, Mogoo, was a cooking video platform. In July 2018, Startouts Inc. was acquired by dely Inc., the operator of the competing and larger recipe video service, "Kurashiru". Following the acquisition, dely announced plans for a rebranding of Mogoo and its integration into the Kurashiru service. The acquisition was aimed at solidifying Kurashiru's position as the top recipe video service in Japan by combining the content and user bases of both platforms.
Prior to its focus on Mogoo, Startouts also operated other services, including "Hitch," a recruitment service for engineers, and "Whats," a viral video and image media platform.
