Headquartered in New York, NY, Standard General L.P. was founded in 2007 by Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer Soohyung (“Soo”) Kim with $100 million of seed capital from Reservoir Capital. Standard General seeks out event-driven special situations that are undergoing significant changes or disruptions and has the ability to invest across the capital structure in both publically traded and private entities.
