StableStock is a financial technology company creating a "TraDeFi" ecosystem that merges traditional finance (TradFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi). The platform's primary goal is to bring high-quality stock assets on-chain in a compliant manner, making them accessible to a global user base, particularly in emerging markets. This is achieved by allowing users to purchase and trade real-world stocks, such as U.S. equities, using stablecoins.
The company was co-founded by CEO Zixi, a graduate of Nanyang Technological University and former Head of Crypto Investment at Matrix Partners China. Other co-founders include COO Zac, who has experience at Baidu and as Head of Overseas Business at Rong360, and CMO Evie, founder of a Web3 marketing agency and a graduate of the National University of Singapore. In August 2025, StableStock announced it had completed a multi-million dollar seed funding round with participation from investors including YZi Labs, Matrix Partners, and Vertex Ventures. The company launched the public beta for its first product in August 2025.
StableStock's business model is built upon a three-layer product strategy. The first layer, StableBroker, is a compliant stock trading platform developed in partnership with licensed brokers like HabitTrade, enabling users to buy stocks with stablecoins. The second layer facilitates liquidity by allowing stocks purchased on StableBroker to be tokenized on a 1:1 basis into "sStock" tokens. These tokens can be deposited into StableVault, the third layer, to mint yield-bearing assets called "stStock". These stStock assets can then be used across the broader DeFi ecosystem in applications like decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending protocols, and cross-chain bridges, unlocking the liquidity of traditional stock assets. The platform also features StableSwap to enable low-slippage swaps between different equivalent stock tokens.
