SneakerLAH operates Malaysia's largest and most anticipated sneaker and streetwear lifestyle convention. Founded in 2015 by Bryan Chin, the company started as a community-focused, buy-sell-trade event for a client and unexpectedly drew 17,000 attendees, revealing a significant market opportunity. This initial success led to the establishment of an annual convention that serves as a central hub for enthusiasts, collectors, resellers, and brands to connect, trade, and showcase products.

The founder, Bryan Chin, transitioned from a career in real estate to pursue his passion for sneakers, which began after receiving a pair of New Balance shoes for his 21st birthday. His deep understanding of sneaker culture, gained from working in a sneaker shop and blogging, enabled him to build SneakerLAH into a comprehensive media agency and event management company focused on the industry.

The business model centers on its large-scale annual event, which generates revenue from ticket sales, vendor participation fees, and brand sponsorships. It attracts major international and local brands like ASICS, Samsung, and Foot Locker. The convention has expanded its offerings to include a dedicated Vintage Corner, a concert segment called ConcertLAH, and an e-sports experience named esportsLAH. In addition to the physical event, Sneakerlah launched a curated online marketplace, allowing the community to buy, sell, and trade sneakers and streetwear year-round. The contract for sale on the platform is directly between the buyer and seller, with SneakerLAH facilitating the transaction.

In July 2022, SneakerLAH's parent company, Shake Hands Sdn Bhd, received a significant RM7.6 million (approximately $1.7M USD) investment from KREAM, a South Korean resale platform and an affiliate of Naver Corp, in exchange for a 22.47% stake. This partnership aims to enhance the company's digital marketplace capabilities and support its expansion into the Southeast Asian market, including plans for a physical retail store.
