SMARTY is a cutting-edge project supported by the Chips Joint Undertaking JU and the European Union's Horizon program. It focuses on developing advanced AI systems that enhance security, transparency, and accuracy. The project employs novel accelerators for quantum-resilient communications, confidential computing, software-defined perimeters, and swarm formation, providing multiple layers of security. SMARTY's technology is designed for key European sectors, including automotive, fintech, telecommunications, and industrial settings. The project aims to mature its technology within its lifetime and test it through five use cases.
SMARTY leverages a cloud-edge continuum made from heterogeneous systems to protect data in transit and in process, offering a trustworthy fabric for running AI processes. The project is supported by major European industry players and 12 SMEs, providing a platform for these SMEs to develop their products and gain visibility. The consortium comprises 33 international partners across 11 countries, creating a collaborative environment for technological advancement.
SMARTY serves clients in the automotive, fintech, telecommunications, and industrial sectors, operating in the European market. Its business model focuses on developing and testing advanced AI technologies that can be commercialized by its industry partners and SMEs. The project generates revenue through grants and partnerships with major suppliers, OEMs, and academic institutions.
