Smarteag AG, headquartered in Munich, Germany, operated as a technology holding company focused on infrastructure sensing, monitoring, and management systems designed to enhance resource and infrastructure efficiency. Founded in 2002 and previously known as SmartE AG and mic clean AG, the company's stated corporate purpose was the establishment, support, acquisition, and sale of high-tech companies and their shareholdings. The firm was acquired in November 2019 and is now considered deadpooled.

The company's business model revolved around a proprietary layer of self-learning software. This software integrated data from a variety of infrastructure sensing devices, providing clients with a comprehensive understanding of their infrastructure assets and the surrounding environment. The company was formerly private equity-backed, with Pyramid AG noted as a significant shareholder in various publications between 2013 and 2021.
