Skeye

Skeye, founded in 2013, provides geographic data acquisition, industrial inspections, unmanned traffic management (UTM), surveillance, and high-end aerial imagery using unmanned aircraft (UAVs). Based in the Netherlands with an office in the UK, the company operates globally, serving clients in challenging on- and offshore environments.

In November 2018, Skeye was acquired by the Japanese drone technology company Terra Drone, becoming its European headquarters. This acquisition expanded Terra Drone's global presence to over 250 employees across all continents. Following the acquisition, Skeye operated under the name Terra Drone Europe. However, in June 2022, with a new investor, the company reverted to its original name, Skeye.

The company specializes in combining geodesy, topographic surveying, Close Visual and thermal Inspections (CVI), LiDAR, and 3D visualizations. Their services cater to a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, for which they have a strong track record in both inspections and 3D surveys. Skeye's business model focuses on providing safer and more efficient surveys and inspections by utilizing innovative drone technologies. The company was the first in the Netherlands to receive the Light Unmanned Certificate (LUC) from the national aviation authority, which is valid across all EU member states and allows for greater operational autonomy.
