Simactricals Private Limited is a deep-tech company focused on developing and manufacturing wireless charging infrastructure for the electric mobility sector. Founded in October 2020 by Mihir Mishra and Balaji Sriram, the company was incubated at the Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC) at IIT Kanpur in October 2021. The company's inception was marked by the rapid development of its first prototype for DRDO drones within 45 days.
The core of Simactricals' business is its advanced wireless charging system, designed to be compatible with a diverse range of electric vehicles, including two, three, and four-wheelers, as well as warehouse bots, rovers, and drones. This technology addresses a significant challenge for EV users by eliminating the need for physical connectors and battery swapping, thereby simplifying the charging process. The company operates on a B2B model, collaborating with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and commercial clients. It has already supplied wireless chargers for rovers and drones used in grid monitoring and is actively working on five proof-of-concept (POC) projects with leading 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler manufacturers.
The company's product line includes various wireless charging test benches and systems with different power outputs, such as 250W, 1.1KW, 3.3KW, and 7.5KW. Its systems are engineered for high efficiency, using resonant technology to minimize energy loss during power transfer. Safety features are integral to the design, incorporating temperature monitoring and foreign object detection. Simactricals has secured funding through a mix of government grants totaling INR 44 lakh and a pre-seed round of INR 75 lakh (approximately $90,000) from investors including SanchiConnect, Seafund, and Ev2 Ventures.
