Sil&Add finds its origins in the thesis of its founder. From 2017 to 2020, I worked with the Acoustics Laboratory of the University of Le Mans ( LAUM - UMR CNRS 6613), the Vibratory and Acoustic Analysis Laboratory of Polytechnique Montréal ( LAVA ), and the French engine manufacturer Safran Aircraft Engines .
My research focused on the development of new multifunctional acoustic materials to reduce the noise of future aircraft engines, thanks to additive manufacturing. This work resulted in the creation of materials with remarkable acoustic and mechanical properties.
Following this thesis, and a year of post-doc, I embarked on the Sil&Add adventure, supported by LAUM and accompanied by Le Mans Innovation and SATT Ouest Valorisation .
