Sedna HoReCa Private Limited is a B2B enterprise focused on streamlining backend operations for India's hospitality, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industry. The company was co-founded in July 2022 by Mahadevan Narayanamoni and Saurabh Pandey, who previously built and scaled Aknamed, a B2B hospital supply chain business that was later acquired. Their experience in creating large-scale supply chain solutions informed their approach to tackling the operational inefficiencies, rising procurement costs, and limited technology adoption plaguing the HoReCa sector.
Sedna operates through an integrated model that combines software, distribution, and food products under one roof. This structure is designed to provide a comprehensive, one-stop solution for food service operators. The company's business model is built on three distinct verticals: a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) suite, a commerce and distribution network, and a food products division. Revenue is generated through these integrated offerings, which cater to clients ranging from restaurant chains and cafes to commercial kitchens and D2C brands.
The company's service portfolio is extensive. The SaaS vertical is powered by SupplyNote, an inventory management platform, and BillNote, a point-of-sale (POS) system. These tools were developed by AdCount Technologies, whose founding team—Kushang, Abhishek Kumar, Harshit Mittal, and Nitin Prakash—joined Sedna to scale the technology engine. The commerce and logistics arm utilizes Vyap, a supply distribution network, and SupplyLink, a 3PL/4PL service, to address issues like inconsistent fill rates and inventory loss. In its food solutions vertical, Sedna offers private-label products as well as ready-to-cook and ready-to-serve items, developed under the leadership of Chef Sanjaya Bhan, founder of Hospitality Unlimited. To support this, a new food production facility is being established in Bengaluru. In May 2025, Sedna raised ₹50 crore in a funding round led by Anicut Capital to fuel its expansion into over 20 cities.
