SecludIT was a French software company specializing in security for cloud infrastructures, founded in 2011 by security experts in collaboration with the French research institute EURECOM. The firm was established to address vulnerability and data security challenges within cloud environments.
The company's flagship product was Elastic Security, a suite of tools that included Elastic Detector and Elastic Workload Protector. Elastic Detector was designed to provide a comprehensive and dynamic view of a cloud infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities across networks, servers, and applications. It operated as a fully automated security event detection tool, offered as a SaaS solution without requiring agents to be installed on virtual machines. The system would automatically detect servers, set the appropriate security checks and alerts, and allow for continuous monitoring to reduce the risk of cyberattacks. SecludIT was a founding member of the Cloud Security Alliance and a technology partner of Amazon Web Services, HP Cloud, VMware, and Eucalyptus.
In January 2018, SecludIT was acquired by Outpost24, a Swedish provider of vulnerability management solutions. The acquisition aimed to integrate SecludIT's cloud, container, and virtualized security assessment technology with Outpost24's existing cybersecurity platform. This merger created a more advanced capability for assessing risks for organizations migrating their workloads to the cloud, combining owned and cloud infrastructure vulnerability assessment into a single view.
