Saúde Trevo is a healthtech company aiming to democratize access to medical exams for Brazilians without health insurance. Founded in February 2022 by physician Ana Elisa Siqueira and engineer Adam Alves, the company operates as a digital marketplace. This platform allows patients to search, compare prices, and schedule clinical and imaging exams at a network of smaller partner laboratories, which can offer services at significantly lower costs than major chains.
The business model is asset-light and focuses on providing a unified digital journey for the patient, from prescription to results, while helping smaller labs fill idle capacity without investing in technology or marketing. Saúde Trevo primarily targets the more than 160 million Brazilians who do not have private health insurance coverage. The company generates revenue by facilitating these transactions through its platform.
Co-founder and CEO Ana Elisa Siqueira has a three-decade career in healthcare management, having previously founded and sold a successful home care and primary care coordination company, GSC/Semeando Saúde, to Grupo Dasa. This experience in creating sustainable health models and a desire to broaden healthcare access, particularly for public system users, fueled the creation of Saúde Trevo. Co-founder Adam Alves serves as CTO and CPO, leading the technological development that underpins the company's platform.
By July 2024, the company had raised R$5 million in a seed round led by Enseada Family Office to enhance its technology and expand its B2B and B2B2C partnership channels. This followed a previous R$3.6 million round. As of early 2025, the platform had partnered with over 55 brands across 170 locations in São Paulo state and was planning expansion into Minas Gerais.
