RSAWEB is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) based in Cape Town, South Africa, that offers connectivity, cloud, and hosting solutions. The company was founded in 2001 by Mark Slingsby and Rob Gilmour out of frustration with the lack of quality internet services in the country.
The company's service portfolio includes fibre-to-the-home (FTTH), fibre-to-the-business (FTTB), fixed LTE, cloud infrastructure, mobile data management, VoIP, and security solutions. For residential clients, RSAWEB provides high-speed fibre internet packages, including prepaid options, designed for streaming, gaming, and remote work. For business clients, from small startups to large enterprises, it delivers solutions such as dedicated business fibre, VPLS/MPLS for network expansion, and mobile data management. Its cloud offerings feature a Virtual Data Centre, access to hyperscale public clouds like AWS and Azure, and professional services including consulting, migration, and management.
RSAWEB launched ADSL services in 2003 and was one of the first in South Africa to introduce cloud services in 2008, allowing customers to purchase locally hosted cloud capacity by the hour. By 2011, the company had established data centres and POPs with multi-gigabit fibre rings connecting Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg, and launched Fibre to the Business services. In early 2025, the Competition Tribunal approved the acquisition of RSAWEB by Tario 892, a company with holdings in fibre network operators MetroFibre and Octotel. This acquisition positions Tario 892 to exercise sole control over RSAWEB.
