Rocketbox, operating under its legal entity Leucon Technology Private Limited, is a technology-driven logistics aggregator platform founded in 2014 by Raghav Singhania, Hasan Kumar Reddy Alugubelly, and Venkat Ramana. The company was established to address inefficiencies within India's highly fragmented logistics market, focusing initially on intra-city goods movement for manufacturing and e-commerce clients. The core of its operation is a sophisticated technology platform that provides clients with a simple interface to manage vehicle demand, track consignments in real-time, and handle invoices, thereby minimizing manual intervention.

The business began as an on-demand truck provider, aggregating over 5,000 drivers on its platform. Following a seed funding round in August 2015, which raised $1.37 million led by Delhivery, Rocketbox expanded its operations significantly. This capital injection facilitated the launch of a comprehensive application suite that included tools for vendor payments, client billing, and fleet management. By 2020, the platform's reach had grown to cover over 28,000 pin codes across India, collaborating with multiple carriers.

In January 2022, Rocketbox was acquired by the tech-enabled logistics and fulfillment company Shiprocket for an undisclosed amount. This strategic acquisition aimed to combine Rocketbox's B2B aggregation capabilities, particularly in Less-than-Truckload (LTL) cargo shipping, with Shiprocket's broader e-commerce fulfillment network. Post-acquisition, the Rocketbox founders joined the Shiprocket leadership team to continue developing the cargo product, now known as 'Rocketbox by Shiprocket'. The joint platform provides merchants with a seamless end-to-end experience by offering a combination of efficient technology, a network of cargo partners, and reduced shipping costs for bulk shipments. The service portfolio includes Partial Truck Load (PTL), Full Truck Load (FTL), and Air Cargo, aiming to enhance service quality through dedicated customer support and transparent service-level agreements (SLAs).
