Rezli, founded in 2012 by Cory Allison and formerly known as Iron Gaming, was positioned as a professional networking platform specifically tailored for the gaming and esports industry. The company was headquartered in Chattanooga, TN, and aimed to function as a career-building and social hub connecting gamers, game developers, educational institutions, and other industry organizations.
The platform enabled users to create detailed profiles that showcased their skills, interests, and professional strengths. A key feature was the ability for members to build and display a portfolio of their projects and link specific game titles they had worked on. This functionality was designed to help creative technologists construct a digital resume, connect with peers who shared similar passions, and discover career and educational pathways within the industries they are passionate about. The business targeted the entire gaming ecosystem, from individual creators and players to development studios and schools.
The founder, Cory Allison, brought over two decades of experience in IT consulting and project management to the venture. Her background includes structuring and operating companies, and she holds an MBA in Information Systems. Allison's entrepreneurial drive led her from consulting to becoming the CEO of Iron Gaming, the predecessor to Rezli, which organized and provided media coverage for competitive esports tournaments. In addition to her role at Rezli, Allison is a general partner at The JumpFund, an early-stage investment fund focused on female-led companies.
Rezli secured a total of $3.21 million in funding over three rounds, including a seed round with investment from The JumpFund. However, despite its early funding and clear market proposition, the company is now listed as out of business as of November 2017.
