Revolt Motors, an electric vehicle company headquartered in Gurugram, India, was established in 2017 by Rahul Sharma, a co-founder of the mobile handset brand Micromax. Leveraging his experience in the technology sector, Sharma ventured into the electric mobility space with the vision of making clean, sustainable, and practical transportation accessible. The company launched its first AI-enabled electric motorcycle, the RV400, in 2019, marking its entry into the Indian market. A significant milestone in the company's history was its acquisition by RattanIndia Enterprises, which was completed in early 2023, making Revolt Motors a wholly-owned subsidiary.

The company's primary business is the design, manufacturing, and sale of electric motorcycles targeting the urban and semi-urban commuter segment in India. Its business model combines direct-to-consumer sales with a rapidly expanding dealership network, which surpassed 200 locations across India and has begun international expansion into Nepal and Sri Lanka. Revenue is generated primarily through the sale of its electric motorcycles, with the company reporting revenue of ₹111.91 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24. Revolt focuses on providing a lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional petrol-powered motorcycles.

Revolt's flagship product, the RV400, is an AI-enabled electric motorcycle. It is powered by a 3kW mid-drive motor and a 3.24 kWh swappable lithium-ion battery, which is certified as waterproof and shockproof. The RV400 offers a top speed of 85 km/h and a range of up to 150 km on a single charge, which takes approximately 4.5 hours. It features three riding modes (Eco, Normal, and Sport) that adjust performance and range. A distinctive feature is its smartphone connectivity via a dedicated app, allowing users to access functions like bike locator, geo-fencing, and customizable artificial engine sounds. The bike is equipped with front and rear disc brakes, a combined braking system (CBS), and upside-down front forks for suspension. In addition to the RV400, Revolt has expanded its portfolio to include more affordable models like the RV1 and RV400 BRZ to cater to a broader market segment.
